What our guests say
Duomo Dome was Amazing
At first it was difficult to find our meeting place, but eventually we found the tour guide. The area around the Duomo was very crowded with people. Once we got in line for the tour groups, the line moved definitely faster than the general admission line. The long climb to the top of the dome required a lot of energy, but not too demanding. The view at the top was excellent. Worth the climb!
Great way to find your bearings
In my opinion this is a great thing to do when you first arrive in the city. We booked for our first morning and found it a great way to get to see the important sights, finding out where they are and how to get back to spend more time exploring. Perhaps more importantly it takes you up to Piazzale Michelangiolo which I’m sure is a challenge to walk but well worth the views over the city where you have time to take your pictures.
Our guide told us all about the sights and was very informative about Florence and it’s history. We stopped at all the main places of interest to have a look and he was friendly and professional.
We were just the 2 of us and not put with other people which was lovely as it allowed us to choose to sit facing front as opposed to sitting on the back and travelling backwards.
A great way to see the city, fun, informative and well worth the money.
A great way to see the Uffizi Gallery!
We did a 3.30 pm tour with Giacomo (manageable small group of 10) – supposed to go for 2 hours, but with an initial queue delay at the beginning (during which Giacomo give us great background info), it ended up going for 3 hours – right through to 6.30 pm close.
Headsets were very effective, & Giacomo’s voice was great for this role – easy to understand & heaps of detailed historic, art & political relevance.
Giacomo also showed experience & skill in steering us clear of big tour groups but getting to see & hear about the key displays. I’m no art expert but it was AMAZING to hear the art specifics, history & background of so many displays before us.
A fantastic way to spend our last afternoon in Florence before heading home!
Excellent tour for a wine tasting trip in San Gimignano and Chianti villages
Kudos to our guide, Alberto Cencini, who took us to the most beautiful parts of the Chianti area, San Gimignano, Montefiorale, in Greve in Chianti.
We had stopped in San Gimignano for a quick tour, followed by wine tasting at the Tonuta Torciano and another stop at an exceptional farm,Azienda Agricola Maurizio Brogioni, where we enjoyed wines with a light , homemade lunch!
Perfect! Last minute Accademia Gallery tour in Florence
My family of 4 (2 children) were staying in Tuscany for two weeks. We did not plan our days much in advance, so when we decided to go to Florence and attempted to book tickets to the Accademia a day or two in advance, no tickets were available. We found ACCORD tours online, and were able to purchase tickets through them. The directions for meeting them were clear, we were able to jump the queue, the guide was great (no troubles hearing, and she attempted to engage the children), and the tour was the right length for my family (about 40 minutes). A perfect was to see the David last minute!
Thrilling Art, Charming Guide
From the first our guide was all we could want in amiability and knowledge but she also brought us her own sense of excitement in being in the presence of masterpieces of the ages.
Exactly what I wanted and more
Because we were on a guided tour we had immediate entry to the Uffizzi, no waiting in line. The tour was terrific. First, it was only suppose to last 1.5 hours but instead lasted more than 2.0 hours. Our tour guide Fiametta Michelacci, was not only knowledgable in the historical background of the artists and the art pieces but also told us of the accepted artistic intent of color, style and perspective.
Most appreciated was her willingness to entertain our questions and she had great English language skills easily understood.
This was well worth the price of the tour which included entry to the Uffizzi Gallery. I will do it again next time I am in Firenze.
Unfortunately no photos are allowed in the galleries and don’t expect to see the whole gallery
in one session.
