Go back to the times of Ancient Rome and discover with our licensed guide all the most important places of everyday roman life, like the Roman Forum and, of course, the Colosseum.Your guided tour will start with a visit to the Capuchin Crypts, where thousands of Capuchin friars were buried between 1500 and 1870 when the Catholic Church allowed burials below their churches. The underground crypt is divided into six chapels and its walls are elaborately decorated with skeletal remains.
The tour will continue on to the Rome Catacombs, which were built not only as a burial site but also as a safe space for early Christians who were persecuted because of their faith. In the Catacombs, you will see early Christian art including one of the oldest known depictions of the Last Supper.
And you can't go to Rome without visiting the Colosseum, it is simply a must. Fortunately, with this tour, you won't have to wait in line to get in, in fact, you won't even get in from the main entrance. You will have the chance to enter the Colosseum through the back entrance also known as the "Gate of Death" and visit the reconstructed Arena Floor, an area not accessible to the general public.
After this truly VIP experience you will continue your tour in the Ancient Roman Forum, where your guide will show you around what was once the beating heart of Ancient Rome, as testified by the remains of the Senate, temples, and several grand arches.
